All teas are from the camillia sinesus plant; the degree of fermentation determines whether they are green, oolong or black. Black tea is fully fermented camillia sinesus.
“Irish Breakfast” is traditionally a blend of black teas. While this blend is hugely popular, there is no consistent definition of exactly what constitutes “Irish Breakfast” tea, but it is typically one stiff enough to stand up to the addition of milk, sugar or lemon while still allowing the tea flavor to shine through. Ours is consistent with that tradition – we blend several high-quality Indian black teas to arrive at a beverage that is nuanced and balanced, great straight, yet “big” enough to shine through any combination of milk, sugar, lemon or mint.
