Darjeeling is known around the world as "the Champagne of teas". Grown since the 1840’s in the Darjeeling region of West Bengal, India, the tea is made from the small-leaf Chinese version of Camellia Sinensus (as opposed to the large leaf plant typical of Assam). Darjeeling is traditionally finished as a black tea.
This Darjeeling is the classic first-flush, black tea, sophisticated and complex, with fruit and sweetness in the finish.
