From the Gayo Organic Coffee Farmers Association, a 1600 member cooperative on the edge of an environmentally sensitive area. These farmers are using their Fair Trade premiums to improve crop biodiversity, make micro-loans in the co-op, do infrastructure improvements, and more. The thing I liked about this coffee on the cupping table was its unusual acidity - it has all the earth you expect in an Indonesian, but punctuated with interesting high notes, too.
